The Chief Organizer/Scheduler will coordinate the candidate's schedule and campaign events. You will manage logistics for town halls, rallies, and community forums, ensuring Austin is where he needs to be to connect with voters across the district.
This is a volunteer position for someone passionate about grassroots organizing and event management. You will be at the heart of campaign operations, creating opportunities for meaningful voter engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage the candidate's daily and weekly schedule
- Coordinate logistics for campaign events including town halls, rallies, and house parties
- Identify and book venues across the district
- Coordinate with community organizations for joint events
- Ensure smooth execution of all campaign events
- Manage event volunteers and coordinate with field team
- Handle RSVPs and attendee communication
- Create systems for efficient scheduling and event planning
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with event planning or logistics coordination
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
- Familiarity with Maryland's 3rd District geography is a plus
- Commitment to progressive values and grassroots organizing
- Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends
Time Commitment
This is a significant volunteer commitment. We are looking for someone who can dedicate 15-20 hours per week to the campaign, with increased availability during event-heavy periods. This position requires flexibility for evening and weekend events.
