We are seeking two Co-Campaign Managers to share leadership of Austin for Maryland. Working as a collaborative team, you will oversee all campaign operations, coordinate between departments, and work directly with the candidate to execute our vision of a truly grassroots congressional campaign.
This innovative co-leadership model allows for distributed responsibility and brings diverse perspectives to campaign strategy. This is a volunteer position for individuals passionate about progressive politics and collaborative leadership.
Responsibilities
- Jointly oversee all aspects of campaign operations and strategy
- Coordinate activities across field, communications, finance, and policy teams
- Develop and execute the campaign's strategic plan in partnership with the candidate
- Manage campaign budget and resource allocation
- Build and maintain relationships with key endorsers, allies, and community leaders
- Ensure alignment between campaign activities and our grassroots, people-powered mission
- Support and mentor other campaign staff and volunteers
- Represent the campaign in coalition meetings and community events
Qualifications
- Experience in campaign management, community organizing, or nonprofit leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a co-manager
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Commitment to progressive values and grassroots organizing principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building and leading diverse teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Time Commitment
This is a significant volunteer commitment. We are looking for individuals who can dedicate 20 or more hours per week to the campaign, with increased availability as we approach the primary election in June 2026. Regular coordination with your co-manager and the candidate is essential.
